“Are you lonely?”

Listless eyes of tainted remorse
Turned to view the unexpected source
Of voice not heard for many years,
Etched with kindness and no fears.

“Why would one such as yourself care to know?”

Gentle laughter, faint and fair,
Rang forth the curious, childish care,
Of only such a person he could deem
Unwise to not turn from he, frightful fiend.

“I only wish to keep you company.”

With tapered horns like kingly crown,
Visage brought forth an addled frown.
Dark gaze was returned with only bright
And laughter to which could light the night.

“You are foolish, little one. Do you not know who I am?”

A step produced the child towards him,
Oblivious to such that could be grim,
That take her light she so surely exuded
And to make it dull, yet again it eluded.

“You are lonely.”

The simple remark was all but weary
And set such a beast with silent dreary.
Flaming gaze did scorch with anger
Yet, still the child saw no danger.

“I am Evil, and that is my name.”

No silence harbored from the girl,
But a well used moment to make thrill
Her eyes with rich and growing glory,
That had the beast in sudden worry.

“Then why does your heart call to me?”

Now silence was his to harvest and hold
As he pondered the words she plainly told.
How could such child pay visit to he
To speak these words and not to flee?

“You are mistaken. It calls to no one, and needs not company. ”

Cheerful gaze only called out her joy
Which set air light, but deemed him coy
In gaze to return, in fear of such assurance
Were truth, during this strange occurrence.

“I’ll stay just to be sure.”

Graceful take of seat upon mossy ground,
The precocious and buoyant child found
While Evil stood with continued leer,
But all the while his mind found fear.

“Who are you, Child?”

Such smile bestowed upon her innocent face
That Evil silently retorted, his heart to race
In question well that set his muddled mind
With fleeting assumptions hard to find.

“I am Good, and that is my name.”
I wanted to try something new.
So my topic was Good, and Evil.
Good is characterized as a sweet young girl, for obvious reasons, while Evil is a rather large, horned beast, again, for obvious reasons. In this, Evil is questioning himself. Is he perhaps as evil as he intends to be? Perhaps, perhaps not, because I could go on to say is Good as good as she intends to be? I know I didn't have Evil questioning Good about her... Goodness... but it could be vise versa... I just like the image of a great beast crowned with horns sitting with a little girl. Evil is just a big squishy teddy bear :3
